I love this song and Ashanti has a GREAT body! She looks nice but I hate her hair but she’s the queen of wrong–especially when it comes to hair and make up. Thanks to www.PliesFan.com for the pics!

[ flix ] Episode 2: Real Housewives of Atlanta

October 15, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Whew! So episode two wasn’t really as exciting or dramatic as episode one. I do, however, have some things to say (and you can add on to the list as well) about this week’s show.

First off, as a parent I understand where Kim is coming from in wanting her child to have the best. As a southern girl, I understand the meaning of “go big or go home”. It’s just how we do and I can tell Kim has a little of that in her.  I thought the idea for Brielle’s party was GREAT. It’s something for 10-11 year old children: sleepover, fashion show, all the sweets you can eat, I’m sure they had a great time. I think Kim did a great job in planning and making sure it was what she wanted but I do think she kind of made a big deal out of the whole BUT her daughter was being a little unappreciative for a minute. Or maybe that was just me & Kim noticing that.

Second, I’ma need DeShawn to get a backbone. I know she’s a “working” housewife and she has children–little boys–but I need for her NOT to act like she’s not going to make it after getting them dressed and out of the door. She should be jumping for joy after that. Lord please send this child some staff ASAP! LOL.

Nene…My second favorite cast member. I loved how she was all “in it” during the college tour. She seemed to be more interested in the campus and buildings and talking to the people than Bricen did. I do understand his point of view though. He said that she means well but she can be embarassing but hey, that’s any parent! I just bout fell out when she asked the tour guide if you could paint the walls or hang a plasma up. And oh how she blasted her baby saying he couldn’t keep a clean room! I love her. I also love how she and Sheree` put their differences aside for that party. Very grown up.

Last but not least, I LOVE Ed Hartwell and Lisa’s relationship. They seem to really click. I thought it was so beautiful how he made her the homemade chicken soup. It’s the little things sometimes.

So that’s all I have to say about this week’s episode. If you missed it, it’ll run on Bravo every day until next week’s episode comes on. Also, there’s been a change in time. Instead of coming on at 9/8 central, it’ll come on at 10/9 central (its original time). [video]Beyonce: Single Ladies

October 15, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Produced by Tricky Stewart.

This song reminds me of Get Bodied. From the music down to the simple feel of it. That “uh-oh” stuff is played out as well. You may like it but I definately don’t. This one too is a miss!

[ flix ] Episode 1: Real Housewives of Atlanta

October 8, 2008 · 1 Comment

Tonight was the premiere episode of  Real Housewives of Atlanta. This is something we’ve been waiting on since what–May? Well while I have time, here’s my take:

  • Nene: G-H-E-T-T-O. When I saw her and heard her talk, that was the first thing that came to mind. But she’s funny and she seems like a fun person. I do think she kind of overreacted at the party but I can also understand her frustration being that she and Sheree` did have a falling out. I could understand why she thought it was on purpose. I’m interested in seeing how that episode plays out.
  • Kim: She reminds me of Lori from the Real Housewives of Orange County. I just don’t take her serious but I love she and Nene’s relationship. She seems to be Nene’s true friend and vice versa. Something that striked me as being weird about her is the fact that her boyfriend doesn’t want to be shown. I kinda get the feeling that he’s also someone else’s man–husband–but I could be completely wrong. That’s just my suspicion though.
  • Sheree`: She’s a piece of work. I think she’s a headstrong woman who knows what she wants and exactly how to get it. I’m a little upset that she didn’t personally go out and apologize to Nene even though it wasn’t her fault. I just think all the cursing and whatnot that took place outside wouldn’t have happened. But I also understand that it was her party and she had other guests there. I love her sense of drive. Even though she’s going through a divorce, she wants to do something for herself all while collecting six figures from Bob (lol).
  • DeShawn: She’s kind of the peacemaker. She doesn’t really know what’s going on but she does and she’ll fix it. I really really REALLY need for her to have a little authority over those kids. All that “please don’t..” and “hey hey” is NOT the business, especially when you’re dealing with little boys. I love her girlish laugh (lol).
  • Lisa: My favorite. She’s a together girl. She seems fun, loving, she has her own thing going and she and Ed seem to have a solid relationship. I love her!

So that’s my take. Enjoy! If you missed it and want to see it, I’m sure Bravo will run it a thousand times throughout this week.
